Our Story...
Hi folks I'm Bruce Day and this is my wife De. Combined we bring to the table over 34 years of teaching experience in the fitness and nutrition field. (see our bio's below)
Learn to be Lean Videos actually began as a TV show back in 1997 called HONEST FITNESS designed to alert and protect well intentioned people like you from the dangers and consequences of the weight loss industry's gimmicks and fads.
Honest Fitness grew into another weekly TV news segment called EAT WISE AND EXERCISE whose primary focus was to educate and teach people that weight loss and fat loss were not the same, and that in order to stay lean, fit, and healthy you had to distinguish the differeence.
The response to that TV show was extremetly positive and led to the developmentof the Learn to be Lean™ DVD Series which is designed to cut through all the weight loss industry's nonsense and teach people the simple truth about getting lean.
Throughout this process our message hasn't changed, and our choice of delivery remains the same...VIDEO !!. Our audience continually tells us that our simple video lessons are invaluable and are by far the most effective and efficient way for them to learn.

Bruce Day's Bio
Bruce Day is an outspoken and lifelong fitness educator and businessman. He graduated in 1985 from the State University of New York with a teaching degree in Physical Education and a business degree in Sports Management.
At twenty two he opened his first health club in upstate New York which he operated for three years before relocating to Sarasota Florida where from 1990 to 1994 he established a highly successful personal training company on Longboat Key Florida.
In 1995 and 1996 Bruce opened two (2) twenty thousand sq ft Gold’s Gyms in Sarasota and Bradenton Florida where he oversaw daily operations of over five thousand members, seventy five employees, and over two million in gross sales.
During his years in the Health Club business, he pioneered two TV shows; one, a 30 minute educational program called “Honest Fitness” and the other a news segment called “Eat Wise and Exercise” that combined were on the air for over 12 years. He’s also had the opportunity to lecture in schools, colleges, hospitals, churches, prisons, and in many corporate settings. Through classes’ seminars and one on ones he’s counseled well over 10,000 people.
Bruce left the Health Club Business in 2004 to dedicate his time fully to the creation and development of another venture called Eat Wise and Exercise®, which develops and sells nutrition and fitness educational DVDS via internet distribution.
That project has led his most current work which is a “Learn to be Lean™ subscription based content website called www.EatWiseAndExercise.com
Bruce’s message is that the weight loss industry is lying to people, their gimmicks and fads have not been designed to help people, they’ve been carefully designed to empty people’s pockets and in the process have actually contributed to the obesity epidemic that exists in our country today.
He’s not just here to point fingers, he comes armed with a series of simple, reasonable and practical solutions that teach people how to stay lean, fit, and healthy all the time without being hungry, without time consuming exercise extremes, and without what he calls “a useless device” (the bathroom scale).
If you’re serious about being lean and healthy, don’t know where to start, don’t have a lot of time, and don’t have any trust for the weight loss industry’s scam de jour, www.EatWiseAndExercise.com is a “don’t miss” website that will leave you with a clear direction on where to start.
Bruce resides in Sarasota with his wife De, and children; Jade (10) and Dawson (12)
De Day's Bio
De Day graduated from Indiana State University with a Degree in Exercise Physiology and was the fitness coordinator and supervisor for three of the University’s Heath Clubs for three years which put her in a position to discover exactly how the weight loss business was leading people astray.
She relocated to Sarasota Florida to become the fitness director for the Sarasota County government, teaching nutrition classes, and coordinating exercise programs for over 3000 employees. For the last 5 years she’s worked as the Fitness Director for a large 3500 member health club, and has also developed a substantial base of clients that seek her advice for personal training and nutritional counseling.
De is out there, in the trenches, working with people everyday. She knows what works, and she knows what doesn’t work, and what she’d like you to know is that everything she’s learned from working with thousands of people, and all her years of professional experience are consolidated in the Learn to be Lean™ library and the Eat Wise and Exercise® educational DVDS.
